MULTICORE VIRTUALIZATION WORKING GROUP

Objective
The MULTICORE VIRTUALIZATION WORKING GROUP (MVWG) will develop standards-based mechanisms that provide users of embedded virtualization solutions with increased portability and interoperability of applications and middleware between different virtualization vendors.

Overview
The MVWG focus areas include services such as secure and efficient inter-virtual machine communication (i.e. with the use of MCAPI), distributed device I/O, virtual machine management, paravirtualization and migration, and in-service upgrade of virtual machines.

マルチコア仮想化策定分科会

目的

マルチコア仮想化策定分科会(MVWG)は、組み込み向け仮想化ソリューションのユーザに対して、複数の仮想化ベンダ間において、アプリケーションとミドルウェアのポータビリティと相互運用性を向上させるために必要な標準的メカニズムを開発します。

概要

MVWGは、安全で効率的な仮想化マシーン間通信（MCAPIを利用した場合など）、分散型デバイスIO、仮想マシーン管理、パラ仮想化と統合、および仮想化マシーンのサービス中のアップグレードを含むサービスをフォーカスします

Status
The newly-established MVWG holds regularly scheduled phone meetings (typically once per month). The investigation/definition of a paravirt ops interface, as well as initial discussions to define remote I/O device services for use in a multi-VM, multi-OS environment, are in progress. The group is also in initial discussions and preliminary draft proposal for a VM management API.

MVWGは定期的に電話会議を行います（通常は月に一度）。パラ仮想化動作インターフェース、マルチVM、マルチOS環境でのリモートIOデバイス・サービスに関する討論が行われています。またVM管理APIに関して討論をしており、暫定提案を策定しています。
